After a recent shooting incident in Silview, Wilmington, a suspect has been taken into custody and multiple stolen firearms recovered. The New Castle County Police reported on social media that on the night of October 11, 2025, patrol officers responded to a call at Westmont Avenue, where a 16-year-old girl, visiting friends, had been injured by gunfire. She was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening injury to the abdomen.
Identified at the scene, 19-year-old Jaiden Jester was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including two degrees of assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, after being taken into custody without incident at the residence, and later transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters. Found in Jester’s possession, a shotgun and two .22-caliber rifles, reported stolen from a residence weeks earlier, were confiscated along with various ammunition types after a search warrant was executed…
