A group of young patients had a first Halloween to remember, thanks to the efforts made by loving healthcare workers.

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) dressed children in its neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in festive costumes, ahead of the annual October holiday.

“Encouraging parents and caregivers to celebrate this holiday with their baby has been a long-standing tradition at CHOP,” specialists at the healthcare facility tell PEOPLE. “Our Child Life team loves creating special moments for these families.”…
