DCCC Offers Free Training for Local Residents Seeking Industrial Machinery Careers

Delaware County Community College (DCCC) in Pennsylvania will start a tuition-free training program for up to 45 entry-level industrial machinery mechanics. The program is funded by a $190,236 grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration. It supports the Philadelphia Works’ Good Jobs Challenge in southeastern Pennsylvania.

The first group of 15 students will begin training in January 2026 at DCCC’s new Southeast Center in Drexel Hill. The program is part of the Electro-Mechanical Technologies certificate. It prepares students for jobs as electro-mechanical technicians. Participants will learn to assemble, install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and fluid power systems.
