As damaged church prepares to reopen, city considers safety measures for Cleveland Avenue

As repairs to St. John AM Church near completion, Newark officials are planning safety measures for Cleveland Avenue that they hope will prevent a repeat of the two high-speed crashes that damaged the historic church building.

Public Works Director Tim Filasky said some of the same measures recently installed on Main Street are being considered for Cleveland Avenue near New London Road.
