Massive Pill Seizure in Wilmington Raises Questions About Mail-Based Drug Trade

WILMINGTON, DE — A months-long investigation into alleged large-scale narcotics trafficking led to the arrest of a Wilmington man this week after detectives seized more than 135,000 pills, a loaded handgun, and cash from his home, according to New Castle County Police.

Police executed a search warrant on November 17 at Moody’s residence in the 1900 block of Seneca Road in the Canby Park Estates neighborhood. Inside his bedroom, detectives reported recovering an extensive quantity of medication, including Schedule IV controlled substances such as Tramadol, Pregabalin, Carisoprodol, Zolpidem, Diazepam, Ksalol, Clonazepam, and Zopisign. Investigators also seized 17,190 Tapentadol pills, listed as a Schedule II controlled substance, along with 221 Sildenafil tablets.
