Investigation Uncovers Guns and Drugs in Wilmington Traffic Stop and Search

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have charged a 46-year-old woman with multiple gun and drug offenses after an investigation into alleged narcotics activity led officers to recover firearms and controlled substances earlier this month.

According to the department, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division began an investigation in November focused on suspected illegal drug sales in the 200 block of South Vanburen Street. As part of that inquiry, officers conducted a vehicle stop on November 19 at approximately 10:25 a.m. in the 800 block of North Vanburen Street.

During the stop, police took Crystal Walden, 46, into custody without incident. Following her arrest, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of South Vanburen Street.
