A 14-year-old girl with intellectual and developmental disabilities was raped after Alexis I. du Pont High School officials allowed her to wander from the school’s Greenville grounds, according to a civil lawsuit filed in Delaware Superior Court.
The 20-page complaint claims the girl “was lost by the public high school which was supposed to be watching over and protecting her ‘at all times,’ ” lawyers for the girl and her mother said in a statement, adding: “The District never even noticed she was gone.”
