‘Urban warfare’: Delaware former student charged in machine-gun plot

Police in Delaware arrested a man in possession of an illegal machine gun and a notebook detailing plans for “urban warfare,” “martyrdom” and at least one named target, according to federal officials and court documents.

Luqmaan Khan, a naturalized U.S. citizen, was arrested on Nov. 24 after police approached him in his vehicle for being in a New Castle, Delaware, park after hours. According to federal court filings, Khan refused to comply with officers and was arrested.

Police who searched Khan’s Toyota Tacoma found a backpack that contained a Glock handgun, a machine gun conversion switch, body armor and “ambush” and “surprise attack” plans written in a marble composition notebook…
