PA man accused of threatening to kill, skin Erie poll worker pleads guilty

Pittsburgh, Pa (WJET/WFXP)– The Pennsylvania man accused of sending violent, threatening text messages to an Erie County poll worker has pleaded guilty in federal court.

John C. Pollard, 63, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to one count of making interstate threats before United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon for sending three threatening texts, with federal law enforcement saying Pollard threatened to skin them alive.

The US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of PA said Pollard first started texting the victim on September 6, 2024, after they posted about looking for volunteers in the area as part of their role as a Regional Election Integrity Director…
