3 sentenced to prison time – one for life – in alleged gang-related fatal kidnapping

A man has received a life prison term for the shooting death of a Wilmington man in 2021 that federal prosecutors said was gang-related.

The victim was beaten during a home invasion and abducted, then he was driven to Philadelphia. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said 32-year-old Kimon Burton-Roberson shot the victim, who was still tied up, at an industrial park in Yeadon, Delaware County.

22-year-old Jamil Salahuddin has been sentenced to 17.5 years for striking the victim with a tire iron. 27-year-old Stephanie Bultes-Ramirez, who was driving the vehicle, received a 10-year prison term. Two more defendants also await sentencing in federal court, and a sixth defendant who was a minor at the time faces sentencing in Delaware’s Superior Court…
