Police: Teen stabbed man outside Elkton business

ELKTON — A teen remained jailed Tuesday after he allegedly stabbed a man in the abdomen outside an Elkton business, leaving a puncture wound that caused trauma to the victim’s lung, according to Cecil County District Court records.

Investigators identified the suspect as Allen Carter Hatfield, 19, of Elkton.

Hatfield stands accused of stabbing the man at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Friday in the parking lot of the 24/7 Tobacco, Vape & Convenience Shop in the 200 block of South Bridge Street, after Hatfield and a male companion — a juvenile — allegedly started a fight with the victim, police reported…
