NEWARK — Hundreds gathered at the Bob Carpenter Center Jan. 5 to honor the life of fallen Delaware State Police Cpl./1 Matthew “Ty” Snook, remembering his service, accomplishments and sacrifice.
Cpl. Snook, 34, was fatally shot at a Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles facility in New Castle Dec. 23. In his final moments, police said, the trooper pushed a DMV employee out of the way of the gunman and told the worker to run, saving his or life.
