“I will do everything in my power to make Ty’s sacrifice meaningful” – slain officer’s widow caps emotional service

Members of Corporal Grade 1 Matthew “Ty” Snook’s family – including his law enforcement family – shared stories and reflections during his funeral service Monday at the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware.

The service was attended by a host of first responders – many from out of state – as well as members of the public and local elected officials.

“Ty was not defined by how he died. Ty was defined by how he lived, by how he loved, by how he showed up,” Snook’s widow Lauren said near the conclusion of the ceremony…
