As Delaware faces another surge of extreme cold and bitter wind chills , the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is opening eight warming stations across the State. The State-operated warming stations are open today, Thursday, Jan. 15th, and will be open again on Friday, Jan 16th, Tuesday, Jan. 20th, and Wednesday, Jan. 21st. Stations will be open during the hours of 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The warming stations in Sussex County include the Adams State Service Center on Bedford Street in Georgetown, the Laurel State Service Center on Poplar Street in Laurel, and the Shipley State Service Center on Virginia Avenue in Seaford.
