Two Brothers in Bear Build a Disney-Style Dark Ride with Community Impact
In a basement in Bear, Delaware, something extraordinary has taken shape over the past seven months. Not a game room. Not a workshop. But a fully realized, Disney-style dark ride, complete with an autonomous ride vehicle, original animatronics, projection mapping, sound design, and a carefully crafted story. It is the work of two brothers whose creativity, collaboration, and generosity turned an ambitious idea into a community-centered experience.

Nico, a high school sophomore, and Matteo, just 12 years old, are students at Sanford School and set out to build an immersive ride inspired by the movie “Big Hero 6”. What began as a shared idea grew into a multi-room attraction featuring special effects, original props, animatronics, and a ride vehicle that operates entirely on its own…
