N.J. cop accused of slamming student onto table offered deal to avoid jail time

A county sheriff’s officer has entered a not guilty plea to charges that he shoved a handcuffed student onto a table.

Charles P. Rudolph, 51, of Franklinville, was employed as a school resource officer with the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office when he was accused of shoving the student on Dec. 19, 2024, prosecutors said.

Rudolph “forcefully pushed a juvenile’s neck, face, and chest onto a table while the juvenile was handcuffed,” prosecutors said…
