WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington police say a delayed report of a robbery ultimately led officers to a suspect and an arrest following a brief investigation that unfolded across several city blocks.
According to police, a member of the Uniformed Services Division responded at approximately 2:49 p.m. on January 28 to the 500 block of North Walnut Street after receiving a late report of a robbery. Officers made contact with the victim, who told police the alleged robbery had occurred the previous evening, January 27, around 6:00 p.m. in the 300 block of East 8th Street.
Investigators said the victim provided a description of the suspect, prompting officers to respond to the area where the incident was reported to have occurred.
