Wawa has abandoned its plan for a stand-alone store without gas pumps in Newark.
The city’s website shows Wawa withdrew its application on Jan. 5 to build a 5,915-square-foot Wawa store with 35 parking spaces at the former Boston Market site at 1050 S. College Ave.
It’s unclear whether Wawa has other plans for the site. Wawa did not respond to Delaware Online/The News Journal’s request for comment…
