The Inn at Montchanin Village & Spa and its Krazy Kat’s restaurant are for sale for $7 million after recent plans to turn the historic site into a brain injury recovery center were rejected this past December.
Thierry Roch, a broker for Avison Young in Washington, DC, who is handling the listing that became public Feb. 5, told Delaware Online/The News Journal the inn, which is on the National Register of Historic Places and has roots going back to the 18th century, is open and “operating profitably.”
The fate of the inn has been unknown since July 2025, when an attorney representing Haresh Sampathkumar of Delaware NeuroRehab Inpatient LLC contacted New Castle County’s Board of Adjustment and said the doctor planned to buy the site from LeDee Lickle Wakefield, an owner and trustee…
