Investigation into shots-fired incident that left dog wounded results in arrest

Wilmington Police seized two guns and some cocaine and marijuana in making an arrest this week.

City Police said a loaded 9mm handgun fell out of a bag as 44-year-old Stephen Selby was loading something into his vehicle on Lombard Street Tuesday morning. Selby had been identified as a suspect in a shots-fired incident January 25th that resulted in a dog being shot.

Wilmington Police said a search warrant was carried out in the 1,100-block of Lombard Street. Detectives recovered a 380 handgun, 6.6 grams of crack cocaine and 11.6 grams of marijuana.

Selby was taken into custody and after being arraigned was taken to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution. He is charged with:
