Emilio Enrique Santos, 31, was arrested following the incident at East Ridge Road and Market Street in Linwood on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at approximately 4:45 p.m., according to Lower Chichester Township Police.
Officer Burkert reported seeing a red GMC Sierra pickup truck drive onto the sidewalk while making a right turn from East Ridge Road onto northbound Market Street, police said. As she followed the vehicle, the driver began spinning his tires “in an exhibition of speed” directly in front of her marked patrol vehicle, according to the release.
The officer attempted a traffic stop using emergency lights and sirens, but the driver refused to stop and continued swerving from street to street, police said.
