TRAINER, PA — A 30-year-old man has been charged following a traffic stop in Trainer Borough that police say led to the recovery of a loaded handgun.
According to the Trainer Borough Police Department, at approximately 2:59 p.m. on February 15, 2026, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Trainer Street after observing a vehicle allegedly operating with an expired temporary registration.
Police identified the driver and sole occupant as Andre William Taylor, 30. During the stop, officers said they recovered a Smith & Wesson SD40 2.0 handgun loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition from Taylor’s person. According to police, Taylor did not possess a valid license to carry a firearm…
