Two people are accused in connection with what’s being called a shoplifting ring.
According to Delaware State Police, 47-year-old Ron Wardlaw and 43-year-old Lashonda Rooks, both of Baltimore, were taken into custody Wednesday in Newark at Dick’s Sporting Goods.at Christiana.
Investigators said they were working with an unknown accomplice in an attempt to steal more than $3,300 in merchandise from the store. Police said troopers found Rocks actively cutting the security tags off of items in a dressing room.
During a vehicle search, authorities also say they found what they suspect to be heroin (17.85 grams)…
