Troopers Update Incident At Route 40 Bank

Delaware State Police have arrested 28-year-old Marcus McClain of New Castle in connection with an attempted robbery at the Dover Federal Credit Union branch on Pulaski Highway.

Authorities said troopers were dispatched at approximately 10:50 a.m. on February 21, 2026, to the Dover Federal Credit Union located at 499 Pulaski Highway after a bank alarm was activated. Employees reported that McClain entered the bank wearing a face mask and gloves and initially refused requests to remove them. He later removed the mask but kept the gloves on, approached a teller, and wrote a dollar amount on a piece of paper.

According to police, McClain did not provide identification or an account number when asked, prompting the teller to notify co-workers and activate the alarm. Troopers arrived while McClain was still inside the bank and took him into custody without incident…
