Bakery Addition, New Flavors, and Refreshed Space Mark Sweet Lucy’s Reopening
After a short winter refresh, Sweet Lucy’s Ice Cream on Concord Pike is ready to welcome guests back with a sweeter, expanded experience.
Owner Meg Hurst, who purchased the neighborhood shop just three weeks before the pandemic, temporarily closed in January to reimagine the space and prepare for the next chapter. Now, just ahead of the shop’s sixth anniversary under Meg and Dan’s ownership, Sweet Lucy’s is unveiling what the team is calling “Sweet Lucy’s 3.0.”
The celebration begins with a soft opening Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., designed as an official “stress test” for staff as they step into the refreshed concept. Guests are encouraged to bring patience, smiles, and a sweet tooth. The shop will close Friday for final production and prep before reopening for its grand opening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday also marks six years since Meg and Dan took over ownership, making the milestone feel like a full circle moment for the growing business…
