NEWARK, DE — A 52-year-old New Jersey man is facing a felony assault charge after police said he allegedly sprayed another driver with pepper spray during an argument at a Newark convenience store.
According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded at approximately 12:30 p.m. February 26 to the Wawa in the 200 block of East Chestnut Hill Road for a report of an assault.
Police stated that a preliminary investigation determined two drivers became involved in a verbal dispute after one accused the other of crashing into his vehicle.
