A Newark man is charged with DUI and a laundry list of other offenses after he allegedly drove dangerously along Route 40 this past week.
New Castle County Police accused 35-year-old Curtis Maxwell of accelerating rapidly, speeding and spinning his car’s tires on Route 40 near Route 7 around 10:45 p.m. Thursday.
Detectives caught up with Maxwell at the Route 7 intersection, where Maxwell kept spinning his tires and making smoke, and when the light turned green, he sped off, but was stopped near the Route 1 overpass…
