David Byerman, Chester County’s former CEO, said his removal last week resulted from an administrative decision he made more than a year ago to let county staff use sports betting and fantasy sports websites, writes Brooke Schultz for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

After a little more than a year as the county’s chief administrative official, Byerman said Commissioner Josh Maxwell told him he had overstepped by approving an employee’s request to allow access to fantasy sports and regulated online gaming sites on the county Wi-Fi network.
