An ordinance to establish standards for data centers in New Castle County is officially on the books.
County Executive Marcus Henry signed Substitute 3 to Ordinance 25-101 Wednesday, eight days after it was passed by County Council. The ordinance was debated and amended over the course of several months as lawmakers balanced quality of life issues surrounding data centers with the desire to promote growth and economic development.
