Police: Man pointed gun at ex-girlfriend near North East; stole her dog

NORTH EAST — A man remained jailed Monday after he allegedly pointed a handgun at his ex-girlfriend while following her as they drove on a road near North East, according to Cecil County District Court records.

Court records further allege that the suspect — Robert Jason Miller, 43, of Newark, Del. — later stole the woman’s dog after breaking into her home near North East.

The investigation leading to Miller’s arrest started at approximately 8:20 p.m. on March 17 when Maryland State Police troopers responded to the 200 block of Clairborne Road near North East and spoke with the 45-year-old victim, after receiving a dispatch regarding a “possible road-rage assault,” police reported…
