Four Separate Shooting Incidents Reported in Wilmington Over 48 Hours

Two killed, five injured in separate incidents; no suspects identified as investigations continue

WILMINGTON, Del. — Wilmington Police are investigating four separate shooting incidents reported over the past two-three days, including a shots-fired incident that prompted a temporary hospital lockdown. The incidents left two people dead and multiple others injured, with each case occurring in a different part of the city.

Police say there is no confirmed connection between the incidents, and all remain under active investigation.

Wednesday: Shots Fired Near Hospital Prompts Lockdown

The most recent incident occurred Wednesday, March 25, when officers responded to the 1600 block of West Sixth Street for reports of gunfire near Saint Francis Hospital.

Police recovered numerous shell casings, but no victims were located
