For more than 50 years, ophthalmologists Joshua Kalin and, later, his son Neil served generations of Newarkers out of an office in Kelway Plaza.
Neil retired recently, but a new team of doctors aims to carry on his legacy while expanding the practice to offer a wider array of eye care services.
“It was already a great established practice with Dr. Kalin, and we’re just trying to continue,” said Dr. Neha Kumar of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. “We still meet patients that come in and say, ‘I saw Dr. Neil Kalin. I used to see his dad, Josh Kalin.’ Every day so many patients saying that. We just want to continue that same quality of care they were delivering.”…
