A man is facing his seventh DUI after New Castle County Police said he admitted to driving while intoxicated when he was found in a stopped vehicle on Route 13 in Wilmington Manor.
County Police said the driver, identified as 50-year-old Idris Thomas, stated “DUI” when officers approached him late Tuesday afternoon and asked if he needed assistance. Also, police said Thomas told another officer he had used PCP earlier in the day.
In addition to six previous DUI convictions, a seventh charge is still pending from several years ago, according to police.
