Tempers flared Wednesday during a community meeting about a controversial proposal that would give New Castle County more involvement with the finances of Brookside Community Inc.
County officials, including Councilman Tim Sheldon and attorney Mike Migliore, pitched the idea as a way to help Brookside’s homeowners association recover from past mismanagement and embezzlement that left the organization in dire financial straits.
