WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Ahead of Thursday’s cold front, Wilmington picked up a quick 0.52″ of rain at ILM Airport. Post-front, your First Alert Weather Team notes a brief pause in rain chances and cooler breezes, afternoon highs will top out in the 80s.

By Saturday, shower or storm chances redeveloping as the front buckles back northward with temps rising to the lower and middle 80s under plenty of clouds. Dry skies and comfy breezes wind down the weekend with temps likely starting in the 60s, peaking in the 70s, and then falling as low as the 50s for inland areas overnight.
