WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – North Carolina lawmakers are pushing legislation that would dramatically restrict THC levels in hemp products, drawing protests in Raleigh and warnings from dispensary owners that the bill could end the state’s hemp industry.
House Bill 328 would prohibit hemp products exceeding 0.3% THC by dry weight or 0.4 milligrams per serving. Dispensary owners in Wilmington said the proposed potency limits would make it impossible to generate revenue.
