Teachers in New Hanover County to receive pay raises of up to 17.1%

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Every employee in the New Hanover County school system is set for a pay bump this year, with teachers seeing up to a 17.1% salary increase.

Under the new pay structure, teachers and assistant principals will see salary increases ranging from 5% to 17.1%, depending on experience, following the state’s passage of its budget in July. Principals will receive a 3% raise.
