GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Did you know that Venus flytraps only grow in North and South Carolina?
The Venus flytrap is a carnivorous plant native to the wet, swampy regions of the Carolinas. According to The Nature Conservancy, carnivorous plants do not photosynthesize. Instead, they use their jaws, water traps, sticky spots or suction to get their prey.
