WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -Your First Alert Forecast opens with a soggy Saturday, with a 60% chance of locally heavy showers and storms. The steadiest and heaviest rain will be possible through the morning and afternoon.
Rain chances ease back into the early evening, but don’t expect the skies to be completely clear. A few lingering showers could stick around into the night, with another 40% of rain on Sunday. Then, the weather pattern takes a hotter turn next week as high pressure settles over the Cape Fear.
