NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A jury has convicted a man of attempted murder and multiple felony charges for a Thanksgiving Day 2021 drive-by shooting on Market Street that hurt a passenger and targeted a vehicle carrying a pregnant woman.
Following a two-week trial, jurors returned guilty verdicts Tuesday, Sept. 8, against Uriah Butcher for attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and four counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle in operation.
