WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -A taste of fall is on the way for the Cape Fear as the next cold front sweeps through. Once it passes, cooler air will settle in, bringing some of the chilliest nights we’ve seen in a while next week. A few spots could even fall into the 40s.
Before that cooler air arrives, keep the umbrella nearby. Rain chances climb to 60% Saturday and peak at 80% Sunday before easing to 40% Monday as the front moves through.
Sunday has been flagged a First Alert Weather Day with the best chance of steady rain, and what seems to be the most disruptive time if you’re planning to be outside. Rainfall totals could be around 2 to 3 inches through early Monday, a significant soaking that will ease drought conditions…
