WILMINGTON, NC — A sharp temperature drop will bring a noticeably cooler weekend to the Wilmington area, with afternoon highs falling from the upper 80s to the 60s and overnight temperatures reaching the 40s by Saturday night.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, the forecast area near Belville in Brunswick County is expected to reach 86 degrees Friday before temperatures drop to around 67 degrees Saturday. By Saturday night, clear skies will accompany a low near 47 degrees.
