SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick Nuclear Plant has announced new emergency planning zones that will take effect next month.
According to Brunswick County, the emergency planning zones for areas within a 10-mile radius of the plant in Southport will change on Nov. 2. Residents can find their new zone number and relocation center on Duke Energy’s online interactive map.
Officials said the size of the area is not changing, but several zones will shift and the map is expanding from 13 to 20 zones…
