UNCW coastal engineering professor awarded nearly $1M research grant

WILMINGTON – A UNCW professor is set to conduct U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-sponsored shoreline research. The project was granted nearly $1 million dollars by the U.S. Coastal Research Program via the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The project will shed light on how waves and extreme weather events affect sand movement and coastal change, providing valuable information to weather services and the Army Corps of Engineers.
