SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – Southport is searching for a new city manager, according to its website. According to notes from the Feb. 5 Board of Aldermen meeting, current City Manager Bonnie Therrien’s term is set to end on June 30. She was appointed to the position after serving as city clerk and interim city manager at a meeting on Feb. 9, 2023. She was chosen to serve as city manager on Jan. 18, 2023.
