A Brunswick County woman won more than $100,000 from a $40 Carolina Keno ticket, according to a news release from the N.C. Education Lottery.
On Feb. 2, Stacey Miller of Southport purchased her ticket at Eshangi BP on Southport Supply Road.
Miller’s $40 ticket played for five shares. Miller drew a 5X multiplier for a $4,500 prize, bringing her win to a total of $112,500.
“Carolina Keno lets you choose how many numbers, or spots, you play and your choice determines your odds and the prize you play for,” the release said.
Miller claimed her prize on Feb. 14 at lottery headquarters. After federal and state taxes, she took home $80,686.
