Man arrested in Lenoir County pulled over for reckless driving, receives drug charges

LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — A Wilmington man was arrested on Wednesday morning after Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered 647 grams of marijuana and Schedule I narcotics in his vehicle.

25-year-old Ghani Shakur Glover, was pulled over for reckless driving near a boat ramp at 963 Hwy 11-55. When deputies searched the vehicle, marijuana and chocolate mushrooms were found.

Glover was charged with the following:

  • Possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana
  • Felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance
  • Felony possession of Schedule I controlled substance
  • Reckless driving
  • Failure to wear a seat belt

Glover received a $5,000 secured bond.
