WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – New Hanover County Fire Rescue officials confirmed crews are responding to a structure fire near Carolina Beach Road. According to Wilmington Fire Battalion Chief Campbell, firefighters had difficulty locating the scene. Responders found an abandoned house near the Prime Storage Unit on fire and had to use nearby supply water.
