Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the cool mornings and the warm afternoons, and I’ll try just about anything with pumpkin spice in it.
Growing up in central Virginia, I can remember collecting colorful leaves and making decorations with them. While we don’t see as much fall foliage around the Wilmington area, there’s still something special about the changing of the season.

The Farmer’s Almanac is predicting a cooler than normal fall, which sounds good to me. After what felt like an extremely hot summer , I’m ready for sweater weather. I was surprised to learn that our first freeze is usually in mid-November. I actually thought it might be even later than that.
