One man is dead following a shooting in Wilmington, according to a news release from the Wilmington Police Department.
Around 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, police were dispatched to the 4000 block of Wilshire Boulevard for report of an unconscious person, the release said. Officers located a 22-year-old man who had been shot outside of a nearby apartment complex.
The victim, whose identity had not been released by Wilmington police as of Wednesday afternoon, died as a result of his injuries prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

“Our condolences are with the (victims’) friends and family during this difficult time,” the release reads.
